SueMy friends call me Sue.  I am the XYL of a long-time HAM, WB5KHC.  After many years of being inactive, he dusted off his key, put up a couple of antennas and soon had me studying for my ticket.  It took me almost a year but I have passed the exam for EXTRA Class operator. Now we spend many weekends enjoying our joint hobby.

I am an "outdoorsy" type of person.  I enjoy gardening & yard work, feeding & watching the birds of the area as they frolic at the many feeders & birdbaths in the yard.  We also have several squirrels that like to visit our backyard & the occasional feral cat that stops by for a refresher at the fountain.  They are all safe here in our "green zone".  My free time is often spent with a cup of coffee &  a digital camera in the company of the critters.

We have had several canine companions over the years. Memorial pages for those that have passed on are linked below.  Our current little furball is the smallest we have had at a whopping 22 lbs.  We made the choice to rescue a smaller "grab-n-go" size this time so that when we had the opportunity or the urge to spend time away from home, we could just grab her & go & not have to make special arrangements for animal care.   She is a very special part of our lives.
