These
are the same forms that I created
for the FISTS club on
the http://fists.org
website.
If
you are using a computer to do your logging or to operate the digital
modes; you might be interested in the FISTS awards spreadsheet. It
allows you to keep track of ALL your FISTS awards, works for all
awards, is searchable
and is easily configurable to your personal needs and desires. I find
it
far more convenient than paper sheets. The spreadsheet may take a few
minutes to download depending on your Internet connection
speed.
As
with any data file, YOU MUST BE SURE you have multiple data backups of
your spreadsheet. You would be wise to save it to more than one
location and don't overwrite the old spreadsheet.
As an example, say you THINK you selected all your data columns and
then u do a data sort and immediately save it OVER the old
spreadsheet. Then, you notice you failed to select a column of
data -- SORRY -- but unless you have a backup; you have just corrupted
your
data and now have the unenviable task of correcting your data. I did
this once - trust me, you learn to make multiple copies of your
important data files!
The
NANFY Award has been modified to the NANFA Award. It starts Jan
01, 2003, but now has no time constraint. When you have
completed all 260 squares you have earned the award whether it takes
one year or 10 years. This was done in the interest of fairness
and to make it achievable for all members; not just the most active
ones.
When
you complete an application, please cut and paste the award
spreadsheet that you are applying for to a new empty spreadsheet and
then send ONLY that one award spreadsheet to Dennis at
fistsawards@comcast.net rather than the entire workbook. This makes
Dennis's task of verifying your award application easier and doesn't
exceed his mail box quota. Dennis get a LOT of mail.
The
Century award application can be used for 1X and 2X QRP award
submissions.
The FISTS Awards Spreadsheet even includes a sheet for the NEW
Millionaire award. If you would like the spreadsheet in another format;
just ask. I can convert it to almost any format and then email it to
you.
You MUST have Adobe
Acrobat Reader to use the
above files. It is a free download, click here to go to Adobe's
site. You
must own Excel in order to use the spreadsheets or your spreadsheet
program must be able to open Excel spreadsheets.
